My favorite place to be is behind the lens.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, David is a passionate image creator. His first encounter with the camera was in junior high school when he was part of the school’s yearbook club. This seemingly simple encounter with the camera turned into a lifelong passion of creating images that tell a story. With an older brother with an established career in professional photography, David began to learn skills of composition, lighting design, expression, and shadow placement.

David is a proficient, accomplished videographer and technical producer with over 26 years of experience working in feature films, documentaries, short films, EPK, television programs, professional sports, corporate/industrial films, music videos, live event production. He was part of the broadcast crew as a camera operator for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

David has a lifelong passion for learning, and is a graduate of Maine Media College (formerly the International Film & Television Workshops) in Rockport, Maine, USA with certificates in: Camera Assistant, Camera & Visual Storytelling, Branded Content Creation, and Steadicam Systems & Operation.

David is an Associate Member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers.

David has won several awards for directing and production of the web-based series "The Ultimate Figure-it-Outer"
